Attempting to jump start a piece of shit old Yamaha golf cart with a piece of shit old Ranger. Jalop life. This will likely end with me crashing the cart into the Ranger. Oh well, at least time to finish my coffee while I wait for the cart to get something resembling a charge before I give up and try to pull of the cables while doing a rolling start.

A gas golf cart I'm assuming?

Yep. I think it’s around 350cc. OHV head, carbureted. These don’t idle - they use the battery to start it when you press the gas pedal. Someone left it parked in reverse with the warning buzzer going over the weekend and ran it flat. It won’t even jump now. So I am commandeering the Ranger for the morning.

Be careful, you can smoke the electronics in that cart. I’ve seen people do that to motorcycles, and even an old Beetle.

Eh maybe if I kill it my boss will finally have to fix it properly instead of patching everything.

How do you leave it like that? I mean, seriously?

Thankfully my gas golf cart had that buzzer removed before I got it. Though, I always put it in neutral when I get off of it.

Parked next to a big AC unit so he probably didn’t hear it. I always leave them in neural or F, but some of the guys like to leave them in R because we park next to a wall. He actually turned the key to off, but the buzzer is wired directly between the battery and F-R lever so it kept going.
